Coconut Brownies


Ingredients :
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1-1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional

Method :
  1. Melt butter over low heat, then remove.
  2. Add 2 cups sugar.
  3. Beat.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Blend.
  6. Add flour, cocoa, salt.
  7. Mix.
  8. Stir in coconut.
  9. Pour into greased 9X13 pan.
  10. Sprinkle remaining ingredients over top.
  11. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
  12. Cool in pan and cut into bars.
  13. Do not overcook! The coconut in this recipe makes them nice and moist.
